This size range of YC series single cone bit is 3 1/2-6 1/2 inch and its IADC code is 437-637.
Main structure features of single cone bit:
-With particular structure of the cone,equal worn of the compacts in permanent contact area and alternative contact area of the bit is realized.
-Wear resistance of the cutting structure is enhanced by setting PDC cutters in the permanent contact area of the cone where compacts are most severely worn.
-Optimized hydraulics structure improved the cleaning ability of hydraulic system on cone and bottom hole,and assure higher ROP.
-The bit has excellent gage protection and up reaming abilities by setting active cutting conical spherical gage compacts on head body.

1.Cutting Structure
In response to the characteristics that inserts in different areas on the cone have different cutting actions, conical inserts are placed in permanent contact area and wedge inserts are placed in alternative contact area so that the drilling efficiency is greatly improved. Wear resistance of cutting structure is enhanced by setting diamond inserts in the permanent contact area of the cone where inserts are severely worn. Tungsten carbide inserts are placed on cone top face to protect cone body from abrasive erosion.
2. Gauge Structure
With active cutting gauge protection inserts on bit body, the bit has good gauge protection and up drill capability.
3.Bearing Structure
High precision journal bearing. Balls lock the cone.Hardface heard bearing surface. Cone bearing inlaid with friction-reducing alloy. Abrasion resistance and seizure resistance of the bearing are improved. Compared with three cone bit, the leg bearing is bigger, so it can receive higher WOB and high reliability.
4.Hydraulic Design
Small angled watercourse design increased the shirttail thickness and can effectively prevent the watercourse erosion.Optirnized hydraulics structure improves the clearing capability and increases ROP.
5. Product Application
It is suitable for sidetracking, deep well drilling and old well repairing.

Single cone bit is a kind of deceleration bit, which is the speed of cone is smaller than the speed of drill, mainly disorderly cutting broken rock. It is suitable for old well sidetracking and deepening the slim hole drilling operation under high rotary speed and drilling pressure.
1. Its application field is wide, not only suitable for side drilling, and can be used in deep well.
2. Work torque is lower than PDC bit in the same drilling pressure and formation condition. It can reduce the small size hole expansion buckling problems, so that avoid down hole accidents.
3. Single cone bit has advantages of both three cone bit and PDC bit, and make up the disadvantages of both. It is more suitable for large plastic formation than three cone bit, also can be applied to hard interlayer which PDC bit can not deal with other complex formation.
4. It can realize high speed and special drilling with down hole motor.
